This agreement entered into by and between Wye River Marine, Inc., and/or its assigns, (herein referred to as “WRM”) and the Boat Owner(s) (herein referred to as “TENANT”), is subject to the following terms and conditions:
Our Standard Winter Storage Packages include the following:
- Yearly Yamaha outboard service – Includes oil change, replace all filters, lower unit oil change, computer analysis, grease, visual inspection.
- Boat winterization – Drain water systems, add water treatment, drain live-wells, wash down pumps, misters and head system.
Note – All heads, porta potties and holding tanks must be empty before storage. - Engine winterization – Run engine on winter fuel mix to lubricate internal parts. Treat fuel with fuel stabilizer.
- Shrink Wrap – Outdoor storage only.
- Standard Storage time frame – November 1st – March 31st
- Spring commissioning – flush out water systems, start and run engine on hose, check all pumps, check batteries.

Storage Move in & Move out:
Your winter storage arrival and spring pick up schedule must be completed before your boat can be accepted for winter storage. Although we can make some accommodations for weather or other unforeseen circumstances your schedule must be adhered to. If you can’t meet your schedule, we have pick-up and delivery options. All boats will be loaded into the boatel in “last in, first out” order. All boats must be scheduled for pick up between the dates of 3/15 – 4/15. Any boat left in storage past 4/15 will be charged at the daily storage rate. Any boats requiring unnecessary moves will be charged additionally.
Access to your boat in the winter:
You will not be able to use, move, or access your boat once it is in storage for the winter.
Storage/Service Options:
Please make sure you indicate all service work required prior to your boat being received for storage. Any service work being performed by WRM approved contractors must be scheduled and approved prior to storing your boat.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS/POLICIES:
TENANT agrees that they will keep the boat fully insured with complete marine insurance, including full coverage and indemnity and/or liability insurance.
TENANT UNDERSTANDS THAT WRM DOES NOT CARRY INSURANCE covering the property of the TENANT.
TENANT agrees to deliver to WRM office prior to boat arriving for storage a copy of a current marine insurance binder for the stored boat which shall include but not limited to physical property coverage, liability protection and indemnity coverage (P&I) at a minimum limit of $500,000.00 or the actual value of the TENANT’S vessel, whichever is higher. Insurance MUST have Wye River Marine (2208 Piney Creek Rd. Chester, MD 21619) listed as additionally insured.
RELEASE FROM LIABILITY:
TENANT RELEASES AND DISCHARGES WRM from any and all liability from loss, injury (including death), or damages to persons or property sustained while in or on the facilities of Wye River Marine or Kent Narrows Marine Boatel, including fire, theft, vandalism, windstorm, high or low waters, hail, rain, ice, collision or accident, or any other Act of God. TENANT shall protect and hold harmless WRM or KNM with regard to any injury or damage to TENANT or any of TENANT’s guests or their property.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
TENANT understand and agrees that the Wye River Marine storage facilities are off limits at all times to all but WRM employees. TENANT agrees and understands that they will have no right to access their boat while stored in the boatel.
TENANT duly authorizes WRM, its Agents and/or Employees to move and/or operate TENANT’s boat during the making of repairs or for normal operations solely at the TENANT’s risk.
TENANT shall provide WRM with a set of main door or hatch and ignition keys.
Fuel: TENANT understands and agrees not to fill fuel tank greater than 90% full prior to storage. TENANT has been made aware that fuel tanks that are full may vent dangerous, combustible fumes into the boatel storage building.
TENANTS boat will not be launched until TENANTS account is paid in full.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
- Completed and signed Winter Storage Agreement
- Completed and signed Credit Card Authorization Form – if selecting installment plan.
- Copy of Valid Insurance Document – $500K with WRM listed as additionally insured.
- Completed arrival and departure schedule.
- Completed service request list.
